Poem – The Lamb

Don’t get into it,
the bickering or the quarrel!
Remember what’s Spirit
you are of. Pray!
Do not let pride or resentment
have their way.
Rather, forgive one another I say.

Keep eyes above
upon your love
where first light of Christ
keeps all harm away,
and under His protective hedge
the day will bow to peace.
Then talk when all is calm
in God’s revealing truth,
which slays the dragon
from the silence of the lamb.
