Poem – Stone

Working hard,
they pushed the great stone
up the incline of the
rather-steep hill.
Little boy, little girl,
side-by-side.
Not afraid,
for it was love.
Their love had moved
the obstacle
which now shaped
a relationship
of lives growing together.
Then the rock got so small
then not at all,
for the lesson was learned.
The great stone was gone
’til the next one rolled along.
