Poem – Swiftly
July 13, 2021Poem – War Child
July 13, 2021Rested upon the atmosphere.
Within my mind, lifted . . .
Rain down that fog may go.
Clarity come within eyes.
Seeing into the heights
that babbling may cease
beside stony brook
as storms of dark subside.
The sun showers, beading,
drying to truth revealing
what was hid inside.
Away foul spirits, yielding
no more fright.
I shall not fight,
for the cloud mist is gone.
Now there’s light to carry on.
The path has opened,
I’m homeward bound.
