Poem – Flames

Beware! Beware!
The dark fire
with its unquenchable flames.
It casts its shadows on the walls of the minds of men,
enslaving them down dim
as to threaten the seedling of light
of those who hear God’s word.
Dark veils. They’re stitched together
to cover, extinguish the innocent in growth.
It wants its life!

How unaware all are of the battle.
Only those who use the light sword
can cut away with eternal flames
which burns thread as darkness yields to light;
a renewal to expose the vision of the Son.

The seedling dances in His brilliance.
I rejoice to watch them find the light from within.
Inheritance of the vine by grace.
At birth, it was not mine,
but I rested in reality deep
’til no curtains in the way.
Still waters
move all mountains
bringing peace of mind.
My life is here to stay.
