An image of a cross with the sun in the background.

There are two types of tears: those that heal and those that kill. “If you lose your life for my name’s sake, you will find it.” When humbling ourselves before God in prayer, He is merciful with us and brings healing to our souls as good grief involves dying to our ways to come alive in Christ’s bloodline of eternal life. However, when we get prideful, God shuts heaven to get our attention till we turn back towards Him in His kingdom of light, allowing us to be guided again with sight. For enduring the pain of trying to please our ways of the flesh when losing focus of Jesus on the cross, we worship the creature of ourselves, replacing the Creator, who has the greater value.
